So you just looked up and realized Christmas is a few days away, and if you’re anything like me, you have no clue what to do or buy anyone, right?
Well, here are my quick fixes, to last minute Christmas Shopping.
Local Small Businesses for the Win
I tend to avoid big department stores in the last-minute rush and head straight to small local creatives. Often I can find unique pieces that can put a smile on anyone’s face. Handmade by Kae has been a lifesaver for me this season. I will have all the ladies, and my lucky guy smelling good for the holiday season, and bonus, I get to support a local business.
Now there is always going to be that one person who is impossible to shop for and makes you want to pull all of your hair out. Just pop into their favourite store and purchase a gift card or certificate, and let them do their own darn shopping.
When All Else Fails, Cold Hard Cash
I love my nieces and nephews, but if I am in a crunch, and you are over 18, a Christmas card and some money will be the gift of choice. Merry Christmas, Auntie loves you. This also works with close friends, where the gift card won’t quite cut it but you still want to be nice. Besides, who doesn’t love receiving money?
Whatever you do, whatever you chose, remember the reason for the season. Sometimes the greatest gift you can give is your love, time, and attention. Merry Christmas!
