Dear Diary: Even the Best-Laid Plans

I planned to write a blog post detailing my country’s journey to becoming a Republic nation, but I just can’t seem to find the time or the words to put it together, so it will probably come well after tomorrow’s festivities, if at all.

Either way, international media seems to be doing a decent job of covering the story.

I will admit, however, that the past week has been quite the drain on my time and energy. Between, long hours at work, completing my last assignments for class, and trying to get my personal and professional administrative work in order, finding me time has been increasingly difficult. Even now I am sitting in the car park outside my work trying to type this out before returning to the pile of papers on my desk. Thankfully the pile has grown smaller, and more manageable, but with tomorrow being such a big holiday, trying to get certain things completed is a tad overwhelming.

Still, I am grateful for it all. Everything will work out in the end.
