Book/Podcast Review: Heist With Michael Caine

No copyright intended.

I have been on an emotional rollercoaster this past week. And after reaching an anxiety-riddled peak these past couple of days, I opted this morning to do the one thing that usually helps. Well one of the things, but still under curfew until 6 am tomorrow so no running to the store for wine.

I grabbed my headphones, opened Audible, and searched for an escape. I did not think I would have landed on a 6 episode podcast about some of the most daring robberies in recent times, but it turned out to be the welcome distraction I needed.

The choice of narrator was impeccable. Michael Caine has portrayed both thief and detective over his career and his voice lent the right air of drama to these stories.

I felt like I was in a Tom Clancy or Sidney Sheldon novel, except these daring escapades were all real. It happened, and all I could think was, what world have I been living in?

I know many preach that we should be using this time to learn new talents and gain knowledge, but sometimes it good to take a break from the routine and try something new.

I enjoyed this podcast, I hope there are more episodes to come, and I enjoyed stepping outside my listening box for change today.

Until next time, Happy Reading!
